Could anyone tell me how to record from HDD on my LG LCD to HDD on my LG DVD/HDD recorder. Currently connected by HDMI? Thanks

HDMI is unidirectional. Therefore it will only carry audio and video FROM the DVD TO the TV. Therefore there is only one way using HDMI that you can transfer recordings from the TV to the DVD. That is if the TV has an HDMI OUTPUT and the DVD has an HDMI INPUT. Neither of which are very likely unfortunately.

The only other possible way you could do it is to connect via SCART. But you are extremely unlikely to get anything better than Composite video quality. RGB via SCART also tends to be unidirectional. So you could feed RGB quality video from DVD to TV but it is unlikely you can reverse it.

I assumed the OP was asking how to transfer recordings from the HDD (Hard Disc Drive) on his LG TV with built-in HDD (If there is such a model available) to his DVDR.

There are some models of LG telly with built in hard drive. Though I seriously doubt it has anything other than AV connections to get anything recorded out of the set and onto another device.

Equally I doubt the DVD recorder has anything other than AV connections. Obviously if both have something like USB it would be easy. Assuming both had file transfer capabilities. Somehow I doubt it however.
