I always thought The Feeling's music was a little dull and samey - I wasn't keen on the last album.

But has anybody really gotten into their latest single "I thought it was over"? It seems much more edgy than what they've done so far. Does anyone know what else is to come in their new album?

I was surprised it was them, but I have to say I like it. It's so darned catchy. I always thought their old stuff was a bit "wet", but saw them at a festival last year and was impressed by their ability to hold the crowd and I enjoyed them a lot more than other acts I expected to like better.

I'm going to be interested to hear what their next single is like.

I think they are excellent.

I saw them play live at the IOW festival last year and they were absolutely fantastic. Lead singer has an awesome voice.

I like them because they don't take themselves too seriously and their music is quite uplifting.

I must admit that I didn't like their album the first couple of times I heard it but it is never off my cd player in the car....I love it!

The new track starts off well but I think the chorus falls a bit flat.

Whenever I hear this song I remember a little ditty we used to sing at grade school in Canada:

You're dancing with your honey
And your nose is kinda runny
And you think it's kinda funny
But it's snot!

And when the Feeling sing the chorus on the single all I hear is:
I thought it was over but it's snot....

Drives me mad.

I like it! A good change in direction, most of their last album was dull.

Ha ha ha! I can't believe the extent to which juvenile posters have taken over DS. Well I can actually, because the slide downhill has been happening for some time

How many of you have heard the whole of The Feelings' latest album - 'Join With Us'? And how many of you heard their debut - in it's entirety?

Let's get 2 things straight. The new single is not shit. It might not be to everyone's tastes, but to call it shit displays a total lack of appreciation for music, songwriting and musicianship. Believe me - I could give many more appropriate examples of what is 'shit'.

Secondly, the latest single (and album) is not a huge departure or change of direction from 'Twelve Stops from Home'. Listen. Listen a few times, before you pass judgment. In my opinion, it takes the best of 70s commercial music / art rock (Supertramp, 10cc, ELO, Billy Joel, Elton John...etc) and puts a contemporary spin on it all.

Wonderful stuff. Whether you like it or not, this WILL be the album of 2008 and listened to on MP3 players by Brits on their summer hols around the world! You heard it here first - even if you don't choose to listen, ever again.

Crikey! Why can't you stay on topic? Why do you think that anyone might be interested in your sexual preference?

Get over it and discuss The Feeling or leave the debate.

Type nicely please!

Sexuality is not a preference! I am gay because I am biologically created that way. I have never had str8 sex so I do not have anything to prefer it to!

As for The Feeling I am downloading it as we speak!

Really? I think it takes all the above and turns it into a mess of the blandest twee.

I once saw Sophie Ellis-Bextor walking away from the stage at a festival while The Feeling were on, looking really irritated. As would I, if I was married to one of them.

I hate very few bands, each to their own and all that, but The Feeling incite passions inside me like very few have before. Even though the singer looks a bit like Tony Hadley in the earliest Spandau Ballet days.

Surprised? Yes, surprised that they have been allowed to release a second album.

Emperor's new (recycled) clothes, them and The Hoosiers alike.
