Rock Chicks
The Spoon
17-02-2008
I remember my first term at college and meeting real 'rock chicks' for the first time - anyhow, I was reminiscing tonight and listened to Cher, Pat Benetar and Heart (i.e. the Wilson sisters).

Suzi Quatro will always have a place in my pervy heart - what lad could be unaffected by a cute feisty blonde in leather?

But leaving my inexplicable engorgement to one side (the left) - who is the ultimate Rock Chick?

Nominations please!

I've seen footage of Doro Pesch fronting Warlock back in the day, and she seemed a bit special.

Sean Yseult (White Zombie)

Aimee Echo (Human Waste Project)

Anneke van Giersbergen (The Gathering)

D'arcy Wretzky (Smashing Pumpkins)

Lorraine Lewis (Femme Fatale)

Some of these perhaps fall into the heavier side of rock!

Hayley Williams from Paramore has an amazing voice.

Always been a fan of Suzi Quatro, I grew up listening to her music because of my parents.

I saw Doro last year, and have to say she still has it in the looks and vocals departments.
