Does this sound right?
We currently have sky broadband, so no bt packaged broadband, We use caller display and have free evening and weekend calls, Its been like this for about 5 years as we havnt changed or added anything, But are we paying too much? I thought oyu could get line rental for £11ish with paper billing, Then such as go with sky for the free evening and weekend calls (or even bt now?) and caller display was free if you made so many chargable cals a month? It maybe correct, Looking we also have caller waiting (which i forgot about) Quote:
Calling Features Pack
3.50 Call Waiting Find out when someone's trying to get through. What's the benefit? Never miss calls from friends and relatives if you're talking to someone else. How does it work? Call Waiting gently bleeps to tell you that a second call is on the line. You can either put the first caller on hold and speak to the second caller, or end your first call and speak to the second caller. What will it cost? Call Waiting is available as part of a Calling Features Pack. See above for full pricing details. Caller Display See who's calling before you answer. |

That £12.34 'Local Calls Option' (which, with VAT, works out at £14.50 per month) is not something I know of - sounds like an old option which is no longer available.
BT Together Option 2 (now to be known as the Unlimited Evening & Weekends Plan) costs £10.50 per month now (after paper-free discount and if paid by direct debit and provided you agree to a 'rolling 12 month contract'). I've never seen the point of paying £1.75/month for Call Waiting but I'm a man so can only manage one call at a time. OTOH, if you think you need it..... You appear to be paying for £1.75/month for Caller Display too - which, as you say, is free now if you make 2 calls per month via BT. Yes, I'd say you're paying too much. But my way's different. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...74&postcount=4 |

Simple as that, do without call waiting and all the rest is yours for a tenner a month. |
