Hi guys, just as the title suggests, I'm due an upgrade at the beginning of March and want to know what's the best out of those two to go for?

Ideally I'm looking for something I can open Word documents on, surf the net quite well, and use messenger. Email is also a must-have, I've got a few Windows Live Mail accounts, but I've got a few IMAP ones as well. Do both phones offer the ability to receive email as and when it gets sent?

You could take a look at an iPhone...
But I think they can only open word documents as email attachments atm..but a SDK is on its way, that will bring(hopefully) a lot of good 3rd party apps.

Both are smartphones and will do all you want and much more. Bear in mind though that some of the things you want to do are network dependent.
