Haven't heard Garrett, Luke or either Jason so I'm not sure I fancy their chances.Colton's had little coverage and doesn't sound too strong to me so I doubt he'll make it either. I think Robbie, Danny and Chikezie could all go either way - Chikezie may struggle if text voting is popular

Not keen on Amy or Ramiele so far and can't see how they'd make the 12. Don't mind Alex so much but she's had very little coverage too so I doubt she has much of a chance.

Mind you I'd forgotten about Asia'h. I think she has a very strong chance but I'm not sure who instead of - she's not my fabvourite but I don't dislike her, hopefully she'll take the Joanne/Syesha place

Nooo i relaly really wan Alaina to get through Last years Alaina was my fave too and she didnt make it, so hopefully she will.

Interesting - I didn't mind Alaina last year and I think I'd have put her in my top 12 but I think this year's Alaina is similar but a slightly better singer

Kyle should have got through for TV reasons only
as for the Girls .. Who cares they all seem like cheerleaders to me lol , None have had me WOW at all, the Rocker , very Suzie Quatro , the Irish Gurl erm very Tattooed and that puts me off as I have a total phobia of Needles ouch!! plus her "Alone" was not as good as Simon said , that song was Way to big for her... and the rest of the Gurls are Totally Forgettable.. I predict a "Boy" Winner

Judging on last nights performances, only a few guys made the cut.

David A, Michael Johns and Jason Castro outshone their rivals by a country mile. All the other might as well go home now (Robbie was next best then David H). We have put the VT's of the top 4 up on the website. Will do a write up this morning and include the "reaction polls" (David A=Top 40% so far)

Worst on the night were Luke, Jason Y and Garrett.

just reading some articles on last nights Idol, doesnt seem it was a great night overall, hopefully girls are better

I love David A. and Michael Johns. I wasn't that impressed with Jason...either one. I thought Josh and Garrett really needed to shine since they didn't get a lot of air time in auditions and neither did.

I meant slightly similar in personality, in how she bantered with Simon. Alaina last year sang Dixie Chicks so she did a bit of country too, know what you mean though.

Looking forward to hearing more about and watching last night's show. It's interesting that Jason C did so well as he didn't get much coverage, not surprised about the other 3 who didn't though. I've heard it's Luke rather than Josh, although those names do blend a bit fot some reason - I've noticed it in the past

The producers of the show obviously want David Archuletta or Michael Johns to win, that is why they have made sure they have extremely weak competition. They eliminated Kyle Ensley and Josiah Leming - the two most interesting characters in the competition because they knew the public would get behind them and they would be a threat to the manufactured chosen ones.

Im going to wait till tomorrow to predict the girls, although at this point id be shocked if Carly, Amanda and Ramiele dont make it.

To be honest Tiffini, not many of the guys have USP's(unique selling points) so most of them are pretty boring singers. They will be pushed to get 6 men for a final.

Ah come on! Kyle wasn't that good. Fair enough he could hold a tune, but on barely I think. And Josiah, I really don't think this competition would have been good for him. No way near mature enough IMO.

I want to hear the ones sing that we've seen nothing from. It seems a bit unfair that some have had all of their auditions shown, and others we've seen nothing of until suddenly they're in the top 24! I've no idea who the top 12 will be at all.

I also didn't think Kyle was "all that". I did like Josiah or at least the idea of actually watching him try out in front of viewers. BTW...he was on The Ellen Show yesterday and sang for the audience. The clip might still be up on the show's home page (not sure if you have to be in the US)

Was reading some of an article the other day that explained some of the finalists sang songs during auditions and Hollywood that the producers couldn't get "cleared" by the original performers...so they couldn't show anything from them.
