Nokia 6288 problem...

My screen has died on me - i have light coming from the bottom of the screen and if im lucky the colours of the rainbow. But more often than not the screen remains black. I have cleaned all the components and plugged them back in but with no joy!
What might be the problem and how do i fix this?
Its a contract phone with 3 so i wont get anything off them as i have replaced the screen before on my own.

If i need a "new" phone can anyone tell me what phones operate with a 3 sim card in it or can be unlocked to accomodate this?

how much do u have to spend?

You can pick up 6280's the model down from yours for about 50 - 70 quid on ebay,

id recommend the k800i, about 75 - 90 quid you'll get one off ebay from a good seller unlocked too so can work on every network inc 3g. My best mate picked one up fully boxed up and unlocked for 76 quid just the other day, 3.2mp camera, expandable memory, a really classy phone.

Im not looking at spending alot lol - i have had a guts full of 3 and their CS - i just want one i can make calls on and hopefully has a mini sd slot, however thats not essential.

Im pretty much a Sony Ericsson addict! they are going about £75 quid in the shops. I'd say they are more reliable that nokias, but that's just my opinion.
