I have recently bought athe above recorder but it keeps displaying the message "GUIDE" which would appear to mean it is performing an EPG download. I should be able to interupt this but the recorder does not react to any button being pressed including on/off button.
Any ideas why? Could it have anything to do with me having a very poor aerial signal?

Does it only occur when there is a disc in the drive?
