I want to buy a mobile using cashback because otherwise its too expensive for me, but I am aware of alot of scams and mobilephone sites going bust before you can get back all cashback or pretending to be an affiliate of a well known company.

I found the site carphonewarehouseclearance.com and it says it belongs to the carphone warehouse but sells surplus stock or refurb phones. Is this the real deal or are they pretending to be the same company? Thanks.

Thanks-I thought of doing that but didnt know if they would advertise such cheaper deals available not directly through the original site, but I suppose its the older handsets that have the best cashback deals and most people are looking to the N95's etc.

It's where they get rid of all the old returns so they don't want to have the main site full of "Refurbished" or "Returns".

Take note, they don't actually state the handsets are new but they do say "All handsets 100% tested". So essentially they've had them back, tested them to check OK and reselling.

The phones are divided into two sections, refurbished and end of line. Pretty pointless site anyway as none of the phones are any cheaper and some are more expensive. (Nokia 6300 refurbished on PAYG from 69.99, when you can buy it brand new for 59.99)
The contract deals look good until you see the cheap monthly amounts are actually cashback.
