Hello, first time poster!

er upgraded from homechoice last week and even though we had a few provision issues we did finally get an engineer to install our new V+ box. But becuase of a 'database' issue the service had not started when the engineer left. He advised us to call him when the service had started and we did the rest of the installation by phone.

I decided to try out the HDMI connection. Through much stress and heartache i manged to get a signal from HDMI. All teh EPG menu's look fine but the 'live' TV feed comes out purple. I have tried restarting the box numerous times but nothing happens...still purple. Anyone know what the issue coudl be? I only have a DVI connection on my LCD so am using a DVI lead with a HDMI adapter.....

What is V+? its not Virgin+ is it?

Sorry it is the Tiscali + box the PVR one.

We don't currently support HDMI, but from what your describing, looks like you will have to go back to the SCART connection for the time being.

In brief, I went back to set-up (999) and selected HDMI (again) and it sorted it out.

hey dude, thanks for theinfo, i did try going back to channel 999 and reselecting HDMI but nothing works, i have turned the box on and off many time as well. Oh well look slike i will have to make do with the crap picture until Tiscali support it!

Do Tiscali have any HD content available yet? Either by linear channels or on VoD?

No and will probably be ages before they do!
