counter

The counter on my 9200...ver21...has stopped "counting"

The machine still records/plays back and shows record/playback on the front.

This was noticed when the machine was showing as recording, with the counter 0000, after the recording should have stopped.

Have rebooted at the mains.

Any advice please

Does anyone have a customer support number...other than the rip-off 0870 number..

Thanks

Does this occur on all recordings/playbacks or selected ones? Does the time bar on screen during playback show correct information?

Everything work as it should...at all times...

Apart from the counter on the front of the box

This does not move from 0000

OK that sounds like a hardware problem; only option is to talk to Humax.

There were not support numbers, the likelyhood is you would have been put through to someone who, when trying to re direct your call, would have cut you off, or you would have been advised to dial the support number as listed in the manual, or on the website.

You can search alternative standard rate numbers on www.saynoto0870.com, if that is any help.

Companies that think of their customers first provide geographical numbers to contact them on as many of us now have inclusive calling plans where these are free.

I'd like to see 0870 and 0845 numbers done away with.

Yebbut 'DS Forum Support' just said 'telephone numbers', not wrong ones.

0845 numbers are OK as they can be cheaper if you are phoning a company the other side of the country.

I'm a bit dubious about 0844 numbers, though, as it's hard to tell how much they cost.

Barclaycard sent me a communication this morning proudly anouncing that they are replacing their 0870 customer service numbers with 0844 ones - but I've been using their free number for years so I'll just carry on.

A lot of companies have free numbers they don't advertise. Check http://www.saynoto0870.com/
