Any Lebanese/Arab music fans out there? Advise please
I have recently started listening to Lebanese chart music and am loving the sounds, especially those with shades of Arabian sounds to them, despite not understanding a word of what they are saying!
I would like recommendations of Artists/Song names which have good dance beats, and possibly have the Arabian sound to them. I like stuff by Elissa, Nancy Ajram and Amr Diab. Examples of the kind of stuff I'm after are listed below: Elissa - Bastanak Amr Diab - Ana Leek Thanks in advance. |

I love Radio Tarifa. They combine traditional Spanish & Arabic music and are like no other band I've heard.
Check out their debut album Rumba Argelina to see if you like them. Maybe not strictly what you were after but this was the band that got me into "world music".

I like Youm Wara Youm by Samira Said and some guy whose name I can't remember. Can't understand a word but it sounds really good!

Are you trying to be funny? I dont like British chart junk. I specified that the music should be Lebanese/Arab - i dont want English.
Do they sing in English? Cheb Mami. |
