Have just copied my whole review from Craig's thread as am too lazy to pick out the bits that relate to Ant! But he was completely brilliant
Well, Jill wasn't attacked by either rabid or rapid squirrels last night and seemed none the worse for wear when I met her at the train station this morning
Don't ever let her buy you train tickets though.... we went the most bizarre route to Derby - it was a serious case of deja vu as we went through Worcester for the third time..Lol
Finally got there about 1.30 and for some strange reason JJ wanted to eat in Nandos... can't imagine why.... so we had some rather nice chicken () and a glass of wine and then headed for the theatre.
Wasn't at all what I was expecting, it was a bit like being in a school assembly hall with individual stacking chairs! The place was absolutely full of children and the noise was phenomenal, but in a good way. The show was excellent as usual. Craig was brilliant and just looked really happy and relaxed. The brothers were a bit less manic than they have been at other shows but still great and Ant's Pharoah is still making me smile I think he should be censored for the afternoon shows - some of his moves should be seen only after the 9pm watershed There's a really good chemistry between Craig and Ant on stage too
Loads of the scenery was missing, no big Anubis dogs, no pyramid, no sheep in the pit and no gold chariot. It was a bit strange when you're used to those bits being there....
Like I said the noise at the end from the kids was just amazing, the cast looked a bit astounded really!
We went round to the stage door and Ant was out like a shot - don't know how he got changed so fast, perhaps he's Super Pharoah and just twirls round in his dressing room...... anyway he had a quick chat and a hug and rushed off. Saw Simon and asked him if he's read his rather bizarre thread and he said he found it really funny (big sigh of relief from all around...). Then Craig came out - in his cream beanie - (Oh by the way if you ever go to Nandos there's a burger called a Beanie, which Jill and I obviously found very funny!) and was completely lovely as usual, then he rushed off to do some clothes shopping with the girls Lol
At that point my new shoes were agony so I made it all the way home from the stage door to my house in bare feet - did look a bit strange going through Birmingham New Street in the rush hour carrying my shoes but hey, there were stranger people than me on the platform I can tell you....!
Have one picture of Craig with Jill which I need to doctor before I post it, so I'll have a go later! (Need to do post production beanie removal......... only kidding! Actually need to do post production Jill removal..)
So, I've had a great day and I've just heard from Jill that she's back in her tent, ignoring the rain, eating pasta and drinking wine..... Me, I need to go and wash my feet
