"Not an HTC branded device"
I tried to register my new HTC Touch Dual on the HTC website, only to get the message that the serial number was not an HTC branded device (it's on Orange, see).
Presumably it's to stop people downloading patches direct from HTC that Orange would then be reluctant to support. I've never had a Windows Mobile / HTC device before - do Orange ever pass on patches / updates from HTC to customers? If not, can anyone recommend an alternative source for HTC patches? |

The XDA forum is a really techy geeky forum your device is called the niki on there
A better more friendly less techy forum is www.modaco.com and the device is called the niki as well (niki was its code name pre release) There is an orange debrand and loads of advice. I have the touch dual (t mobile touch plus) myself and love the phone. First thing i would get (free ) is slideactions but have a read Jeremy |
