Well done Foo Fighters!

These guys deservedly won two Brit awards, yet predictably they get no recognition for it from the majority here on these boards. They won as many awards as Take That, who got a thread...so I think it's only fair that the Foo Fighters get some recognition as well!

Dave Grohl's speech was brilliant as well. The first one was just taking the piss out of the whole idea - "Best newcomer? No, I forgot, we've been a band for AGES and this is the first time we've won one of these!" Pretty much saying that they won because their new album sold well, not necessarily because it was their best album. Then his second speech were he takes the piss out of all the other bands this has "elevated" Foo Fighters status to! The comparison to Culture Club was hilarious.

Anyways, this a thread to give as much credit as is possible to the Foo Fighters for winning two Brits, the joint highest total!

Well done foos! The only good awards seemed to be for the international artists. The past year has been rubbish for British music.

Foo Fighter fans are probably embarrassed that they won such a shitty award, or two

Sorry I love the foos but KOL are the best group around at the moment. They were robbed of Best Int Group and album, Rihanna was robbed too, kylie got the sympathy vote

Well deserved and indeed Grohl's speeches were just about the highlight of the night.

It's repeated saturday afternoon at 4.50 on ITV2. Being on that early though the funniest stuff at the end about people being pissed will be cut.

I've seen them on You tube. Excellent speeches

I do like the Poo fighters but I am getting suspicious that they probably only won because they are white.

The awards seemed so racist this year.

I was thrilled for them

Just about the best live band around these days too. Dave was great as usual. Must admit though, I also like Kings of Leon and I think their album was very strong - had anyone other than the Foos beaten them I'd have been a bit gutted.

Glad to see Dave treated the award with the 'respect' it deserved too!

Think you read faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrr too much into his speech... pretty sure his first speech was just a general joke, not a dig at anything.....

I personally thought they were prety lame speeches compared to what the Foos usually do!
The bit that did make me chuckle was when he said "really wish we could be there!! i really do! but we just sold out madison square gardens!"
dont think the Brits will ever get taken seriously!

It's the Kylie win that really bothers me, but its the wrong topic.

Good for the Foo Fighters, though I wish it was something better then a Brit Award. It means nothing of course, as it is a biased and racist award given to those with not talent......at least that is what some people think.
