Now we know that blu ray is the HD format to own for the time being, where is the best prices and what films are the best to own if you allready have the dvd version or worth buying for the higher price against the normal dvd version.
Ive heard that 300 appears to be a low grade one to own in HD due to its style and that it doesn't look that much better than normal dvd (upscaled), is this right?

The best prices will always be paid when buying US discs.

75% of current Bluray titles in the US are region free.

So checkout whether your requirements are region free and if you are prepared to wait a few months Amazon Marketplace sellers on the UK site but based in the US will be selling BD half the price of UK retailers.

The market in the UK seems to be too small at present for regular discounts.

My most recent US discs all cost less than £12 each including P&P
