Alexandréa Lushington

I just have a feeling. Plus - great name!

Not heard her performance yet so not sure. She does have a good voice, wasn't sure about the song choice at her first audition though and haven't seen much of her since so the jury's still out

She does have a cool name - Alex to her friends I'm sure. Not quite as wacky as Chikezie Eze or Ramiele Malubay but probably easier to remember, akwas an advantage in these competitions.

Dont find her very likeable so far, seems a bit over confident to me and i got a trying too hard vibe from her. Has potential to break into the top 12 but dont see her going all the way

I agree, he'd look better without the dreads.

As for Alexandrea, I never really connected with her untl tonight, when I totally got her - I agree she could really creep up.

I mean people see her as the underdgo - the 33/1 outisder with no chance of making it into the top 4. People underestimate her capability and her fan's loyality which makes her the "suspected underdog" (eg like Leon in the X Factor)

I agree , Alexandra and the blonde 16 year old girl gave the only 2 performances that made me pay attention , Simon's hearing must have been off last night .

I would define the 'underdog' is someone who is far from being the most talented (or maybe even the least talented) who gets by on a popularity vote (such as Sanjaya) or because people think he/she is cute. I didn't really enjoy Alexandra's performance - reminded me too much of an advertising commercial - but I do think she has talent though other girls are better. However if Kyle had been put through he would definitely have underdog potential - not the best singer but a guy with an interesting nerdy personality which might have kept him in for some time. IMO that's why Simon wanted to put him through to bring back the 'Sanjaya factor' ...

I think Alaina is the underdog , I find Alexandrea quite irritating to be honest.

The underdog is Amanda imo, because I think she's a terrible singer.

I actually thought that an underdog would probably be defined as very talented but lacking in some area , ie looks , performance skills , but makes up for it by having talent in other areas . I'd have said Will Young would have fallen into that category as would Michelle Mcmanus , Ruben Studdard , Fantasia ,Taylor hicks

No I definitely don't see Will/Fantasia etc as underdogs - to me we are talking about someone like Laura in PI or the MacDonald brothers who keep getting in the votes long after the judges have decided it's time for them to go. 'Dark horse' is a better term for the person who comes from outside to win, IMO ...

I actually thought Alexandrea gave the best performance of the night, although I didn't know the song to judge it. She showed what she could do vocally and performed well. I'm looking forward to hearing more from her in the future - particularly younger songs like the Amy Winehouse one from Hollywood Week

I think Ramiele is more likely to fill the underdog role though, as her first audition was poor and was crticised accordingly but her Top 24 performance was pretty good - somewhere between 5th and 8th place for me, but she sang one of my favourites to sing and my version isn't so understated, which is fair enough but it took a bit of getting used to

Not sure who the guys' underdog (or should that be "underdaaawwwg?) will be but maybe it's time for a female one after Sanjaya and Chicken Little, lol

Am I the only one old enough to remember the song as an advertising jingle for (I think) Super Frescos? Unfortunately it kept going through my head and stopped me from hearing the real words. I can actually see Christy being the underdog - I've never actually heard her give a good performance accept for 'Amazing Grace' but I could see her popularity keeping her in over people who are better on the night.

Doesn't make you old - I'm only 17

I don't pay too muich attention to adverts either, although I know So Happy Together is currently featured in one. I think that's how I know it actually, I quite like it

It can be annoying when a song's going round in your head though. I don't mind so much if it's one I like but advertising jingle lyrics would probably grate on me after a while

I don't think Kristy has much chance of winning, although I don't dislike her. I think she's borderline and will either make or just miss out on the top 12 by a small margin. As for Alex, I do see her as more of a dark horse than an underdog but it easy to get these terms mixed up, there are so many of them!

No I remember it too and had the same problem with it

♫ ♫ What goes up must come down
Super Frescos goes on easy
They're from Graham & Brown ♫ ♫

I don't know who would be considered an underdog as yet. Perhaps if Garrett had stayed last week, cos though he had the weakest voice he had the cute factor as in puppy dog cuteness, which I think he could have played on if he had longer.

I think Alaina is the underdog, shes one of the ones that wont get much publicity or talked about, but hopefully will make it to the 12
