I have a question regarding accurate recording

What if

I have a question regarding accurate recording.

Say you are set to record:
Recording 1 from 19:00 to 20:00 using AR
Recordings 2 & 3 from 20:00 to 21:00

Recording 1 is under AR control and is running 10 mins late, and so starts its recording at 19:10

Which programme looses out ?????

Do I loose the last 10 mins of programme 1?
Do I loose the first 10 mins of one of recordings 2 or 3, or even the whole recording?

Well the new user manual says this on page 41:

Quote:
“When two other reservations with auto tracking conflict, the reservation with the earlier start time starts recording first. If the reservations have the same start time, the one with the lower channel number starts first.”

So I guess either 2 or 3 would lose their first 10 minutes, depending on the channel numbers.

It should check alternate instances of progs 2 and 3, if it can find one then one of them will be moved to an alterate record time, otherwise one may not record

Does the "auto-rescheduling" really work this way? I thought that the selection of an alternative instance of a programme occurred only if there was a conflict when the recordings were scheduled, and NOT when the recordings were about to take place. Since in the original poster's case there was no conflict (the times in the EPG did not require more than two tuners), I don't think that the "auto-reschedule" facility would operate. I am happy to be corrected if I have misunderstood this.
