Was anyone disapointed with the Spice Girls Greatest Hits Album ? Do you think their should have been more than 15 songs ?

Does anyone know the exact sales ?

I didn't know it only had 15 songs on it - mind you I'm not really aware of how many 'Greatest Hits' they've had. I keep on considering buying it but since you can fit up to 25 songs on BENQ CD I'd have thought they could have put a bit more on there. Most compilation albums have +18 songs on them.

Surely a greatest hits album can only have what they released on it though, maybe with one or two new hits. Spice Girls didn't release that much material, and everything they did is on the album, as well as Headlines, Move Over, Voodoo and Tell Me Why.

The definition of a hits package like this was surely to include "the hits"? So, what would be the point of including additional material that wasn't actually a "hit"? I think it was stretching it a bit to include "Move Over" which wasn't a single, but 12 other hits as well as two new songs was fine, in my opinion.

The whole project was a bit half-arsed, but it did what it said on the tin, didn't it?

I wasn't actually dissapointed. I was quite happy with the Greatest Hits. They set them out very well, the songs were great. Loved it.

Also, regarding your sales question. I think it has sold around 360,000 copies in the UK only.

they could have released a 2nd disc with raritys and bsides such as Step To Me, Take Me Home and some other unreleased songs.

The record company will probably make another album of the rare stuff just to make even more money out the fans.

It's just a collection of singles they have released. Headlines was a single and included which makes me think that maybe Voodoo was meant to be released as single but plans obviously changed. Don't know how well Voodoo would've done in the charts though.

There are special editions you can get of the album which includes remixs, videos, bonus tracks etc.
