We've just noticed this problem with our box.

We set a recording timer to record a film on ITV2. It started, as set, at the right time and we started watching something else. An hour later, the box shouted at us saying it was about to record something else and so we could continue watching what we were watching. We didn't have anything else set.
Looking in Timers, we noticed the same film being recorded on ITV2+1. As you would expect, we went to stop the recording on ITV2+1 but it also stopped the recording on ITV1!

How come it does this? How come it set TWO timers for the same thing on a +1 channel but doesn't allow you to stop just the one recording? Is there a way to stop it?

Many thanks.

Very intriguing. What is the make and model of your box? What is the software version? Does this happen on any other programmes recorded on a channel with a +1 counterpart?

If this is the Digital Vision DVR180, a single tuner pvr, you would only have one recording ongoing at a time, so it's the timer list which is confused. You probably need to reset the machine by powering off at the mains for 30 secs or so. Come to think of it, this machine had an update recently didn't it, so maybe a reset would be good for it anyway.

It's a Durabrand DPVR180 and it happens on every channel with a +1 counterpart. It's not a massive problem, just an annoyance.

What software version is it? Was there a sticker or markings on the box with T825?

I can only think this might be a Series link issue.
