My two favourites have gone ! Well that's the shortest idol season ever for me .

My favourite would be Amanda aka Lily Munster if only because looking like a character from a sitcom worked well for Taylor "Father Ted" Hicks a couple of years ago so it might work for Amanda this year

Love Amanda! Looking forward to see what she sings tonight. A 70's Aerosmith song would be good.

It's my first year watching American Idol, & the quality & diversity of contestants on American Idol is a welcome change from the dross we get on the UK version. Having a live band really helps with the atmosphere too

Brooke is my favourite from the girls now , and David Hernandez from the boys.

Really don't see the fuss about David A , Micheal Johns or Carly Smithson.

I really really like Syesha and im glad she stayed this week, because I thought she might have been a surprise exit. I like Ramiele, and I think Brooke is sweet, but shes not the best of singers.

I dont really care for any of the boys, but then again, for some reason, I never do.

Honestly I'm surprised it's not unanimous for Archuleta right now. There's a long way to go but he seems a cut above at the moment. Totally adorable kid, good personality, great voice and not really shoe-horned into that "but you're so good for your age!" thing because he's that good anyway.

I like Michael Johns too but I think he's a little too controlled.

Out of the girls I like Brooke but mainly because she's kooky and awesome; I don't think she stands a chance of going particularly far. She's too niche and old-fashioned, surely, for the kids who vote for this show. "Carly Simon who? Joni Mitchell whaaaaat?".

Brooke and Carly are my fave girls.

And am beginning to warm to David A, he is very sweet

Oh please He's good but not that good. He is very good for his age but that's it. I think he will win but for all the wrong reasons.

After the first two live shows, my favourites are the same as they were from their first auditions. Michael Johns, Jason Castro and Danny Noriega from the boys, and Carly Smithson, Amanda Overmeyer and Brooke White from the girls.

I love Luke Menard's voice and think he's a great looking guy but I have been prepared for a Patrick Hall style early exit from the first show.

I was really rooting for Alexandrea Lushington, so was gutted when she was booted (admittedly it was a dreadful song choice though...)

Anyway, Ramiele's my girl now, though I reserve the right to throw my TV through the window if I hear the phrase "the little girl with the big voice" once more...

None of the boys excite me, though Jason has a great vibe, and has been very clever in not pitching himself as an amazing vocalist, but rather as a good feelgood performer... mind you, it may turn out to have been a good thing for him that he was completely invisible during the audition and Hollywood rounds as I suspect his schtick might get old after a few more weeks...

I have a horrible feeling that this is going to become The David Archuleta Show though - I've nothing against him (though he's not my type,) but the incessant pimping (from the very early auditions) makes it clear that he's The Chosen One, and the next 12 weeks will really drag when we'll have all known the result all along - it was like X Factor 2006 when it was obvious very early that Leona was going to win and I completely lost interest...

David Archuleta will win.

Ramiele is exactly the same height as Kylie Minogue and Paula Abdul (5 feet tall).

Didn't stop Kylie and Paula being a success, did it?
