Lockup not a lockup
kaz7

I have a 9200 running .21 and stumbled on this a few weeks ago.

When switching on for the first time in the day the 9200 would sometimes 'lockup' i.e not switch on from standby, the clock time would be frozen and no response from any buttons until a hard reboot. If however the unit was left alone for anything upto 4 minutes it would start normally.

Anybody else have this ?

Yes I have had a couple of reports of apparent lockups that can be cleared either by waiting or going into "semi" standby (box displaying just the rec icon, nothing else) press standby again and things back to normal.

I had something like that a few days ago (no, not that first lock-up I had when using the fast reverse skip button that I reported on last week or so). I was recording something and either just before or just afterwards, I was going to have something else recorded via the other tuner, when I was flicking through the channels. I might have going a bit quick with the channel changing (impatient me), but I managed to lock-up the machine. Getting a bit annoyed that I might ruin two recordings, I waited for a minute, but nothing happened. So, I decided to put the machine in standby, and it did go in standby. Brought it out of standby, and it worked fine. Whew!
