I have a Pioneer PDP4270XD which I bought 10 months ago. Its has a great picture but last month I noticed various lines, logos, and shapes showing permanently in different parts of the screen. I have researched in this forum and others on the cause and removal of this ghost images but nothing seems to be working. Pioneer themselves have suggested a 7 day overnight screen wash using a blank analog signal to generate the random snow but this has made no difference either.

Are these ghost images permanent ? What consumer rights do I have under the manufactures warranty if I am not happy with the quality of the picture ?

Hi Kaz7,When you first set up your pioneer did you first turn down the contrast/brightness/colour settings? because all tv settings out of the box are all set too high,It is very important especially with a plasma to run it in gently

The guarantee specifically says that screen burn isn't covered, as HDMI says, it's important to run a Plasma in gently to avoid screen burn - by far the highest risk is during the first few months.
