Vodafone are currently offering, on an 18 month contract:

500 mins, unlimited texts + free phone - £25 a month.

http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/index.cfm...ingDealId=1112

Should be £35 a month.

I was gonna go for that but I wanted and N95 and its £180 and the N95 8gb is £400 on that tariff
So I just went for the same thing but at £35 a month and got an N95 free and stuck an 8gb memory card in it

Do Voda give you 2 cinema tickets for the price of 1? There's no point in tit for tat stuff. In terms of the offer the OP posted, it's just a fact that it's not the best deal out there.

a proper price comparison means we have to also compare the hidden charges. so I assume, Vodafone DONT charge that 1p (which Orange craftilly dont mention unless you go digging for it) in which case the Orange deal is £5 more a month if you send 500 texts and use the delivery reports option. or £10 a month if you send 1000 texts etc.

Call 08000 792000. Choose one of the £35 tariffs and they will give you are £180 account credit that takes the monthly payment down to £25. Or visit an Orange store where they will give you a £150 account credit taking the line rental down to £26.66. There are 600 x-net mins with the direct tariff, 500 x-net mins with the in-store tariff.

You do realise the deal that you plumped for in the end cost you the same as if you'd gone £25 p/m + £180 for N95? Just that for and extra £10 over 18 months (coincidently £180), you got a 'free' N95.

You don't need a link, Ricardodaforce gave you the info you need above. At the moment the Orange site is promoting the free iPod offer. Just tell them you'd rather have the £180 account credit. Don't be scared!
