David's a pretty good singer, but his breathing is really distracting. All that sniffing in. I can't help but hear it and puts me off the performance.

Ok I'll say it, I don't get the David Achuluah (whatever his last name is) love. His voices sounds a bit rough to me.

They know he's very marketable. He's got that Gareth Gates cute boy thing going on. Simon knows he can shift plenty of product with him, so guarantee he'll be bigging him up all the way to the final.

When are the girls on, tomorrow?

I thought David Archuleta's performance was one of the best ever on Idol, absolutely sensational.

Also enjoyed David Hernandez and Chikese.

Danny Noriega & Jason Yeager definitely the weakest and hopefully leaving this week

I'd say Luke and Danny were easily the worst.

Chikese's performance was easily my favourite tonight. He possibly might overtake Brooke as my favourite.

I dont know why, but David Archuleta just annoys me sooo much..

This is how I'd rate the performances, from 1 to 10.

1. David Archuleta - Outstanding. He picked a risky song, Imagine is a big one to cover but he pulled it off brilliantly. Loving him more and more
2. Chikezie Eze - What an improvement! He showed off his personality with great effect, it was fun and the vocals were spot on.
3. David Hernandez - Scorching I now love DH! Great performance.
4. David Cook - I liked him a lot more this week, the song suited him. He's a bit of a gobshite though.
5. Robbie Carrico - It was an alright performance, passable, but very bland.
6. Michael Johns - He was not his best tonight. I was disappointed.
7. Danny Noriega - Better than last week.
8. Jason Yeager - I feel sorry for him. He's got a good voice and he seems so nice, but he's so dull.
9. Jason Castro - Didn't like it. After a great first week he didn't follow it up very well.
10. Luke Menard - Awful again. Doing a Queen song was a wrong move.

I kind of agree with both of you, but I would say Luke and Jason Yeager were the worst. Danny irritates me greatly but I try not to let that affect how I feel about his performance...and he has the most amazing skin (sorry just something I noticed about him )

Thought all the David's were good last night.

Am I the only one who thought it was tacky?

He can, obviously, sing but he overdoes it like Leona Lewis. The way he sung it, he took all the subtlety out of a beautiful song

No you are not. My description would be that he turned a beautiful song into a dirge. I have to recognise that he has a good voice and gives a personal rendition, but I don't like it at all ..

Loved Chikese's performance - he's my "dark horse" bet at this stage

i recorded it last night and watched it this morning.

Michael - Sounded like the wrong key, still not fulfilling his potential on the live shows bu will sail to the top 12, he seems very popular - not just on here

Jason C - Interesting, his guitar helps him to stand out, not sure if it was the reason but the vocals weren't perfect. Likely to make the Top 12 though.

Luke - Would probably have been better off with a subtler song, but was better than last week. I like him - and liked his clip - but doubt he'll make the top 12.

Robbie - Made me laugh in his interview, chose a better song than last week but his performace was just OK and a bit erratic in places. Could go either way for him.

Danny - Love the song, it showcased his vocals which were good but nothing out of this world. He's good fun and it could go either way for him too, but I doubt he'll make it.

David H - Generallu showed light and shade, and the personality in his vocals that worked well for him in Hollywood. For once I agreed with the judges, though I'm not so gushing!

Jason Y - I liked hearing a more upbeat song from him, and it was mostly pretty good but not a great showcase song, and didn't stand out. I feel sorry for him too but he's very unlikely to make T12.

Chikezie - Liked the story and the partnership with the song, but the song itself didn't excite me. Chikezie did a good job with it and made it fun, after last week he's proved he's worth another shot, who knows about T12?

David C - Gave my favourite performance of the series so far last week, stuck to his high standard, it worked well and I loved it when he answered Simon back - I always do. So he is wordy after all....but that's great! Must make T12

David A - I agree that he slightly oversung Imagine, maybe detracting from some of the emotion but I still enjoyed listening to him - and was very impressed by him at 11! There's an obvious bias towards him though - the pimp slot. the praise and possibly even the song choice but I like him so I don't begrudge him that. He'll probably win

Can't wait to see the girls and the results tonightxxxx

Quite a disappointing show last night, I thought. I liked Chikezie (spelling??) and David (Imagine), but no others. Luke was the worst, I thought (assuming he was the one that sang Killer Queen - I totally agreed that he sounded whiny).

Simon appeared to have his hand attached to his forehead last night.

You got alll your names and spellings right Pelican

I enjoyed the show - some of the guys were btter than last week but it did lack the spark (or maybe it just lacked DC's "So Happy Together" - I'm still weirdly obsessed with that one! )

Syesha's lower register sounds very similar to Leona's lower register.
