Leftovers
What left overs do you love eating?
I am currently in the office working my way through a tuppaware box full of left over Sunday dinner and it's yum! All the people in my office are really jealous.

I don't like cold veg. I love left overs like lasagne or shepherd's pie. they always taste nicer reheated for some reason.

left over mashed potato and roast chicken.
My mum mixes strips of the cold chicken through the mashed poato and makes little potato cakes which she dunks in seasoned flour before frying, they are delicious! |

Im not very good with leftovers. Actually, in our house there very rarely is any !!! The only left overs we get are an occasion slice of pizza.
But - when i cook a shephards pie, i always do too much so i can put some in a tupperware and take it to work for lunch. I nuke it in the microwave .... and watch everyone dribbling as it smells so good

I love cold sprouts too (like 'em hot as well!). After Christmas, I like to put them on a sandwich with a sliced potato, some stuffing and some turkey. Delicious

My best friend insists on coming to my house for dinner on Boxing Day every year when she knows she'll get bubble and squeak to eat.
But I don't make it with just mash and sprouts. I add in the mashed swede, peas, roasted parsnips, carrots, chopped roasties, chestnut stuffing and some turkey. Mix it all in a big bowl, put it into my huge lasagne dish, top it with lots of grated cheese and bung it in the oven (that's a technical term!) for an hour or so till it's all crispy on the top, and serve with the leftover turkey gravy made with giblet stock. She swears it's the best dinner of the year, and hates swede and parsnips normally. She came on Boxing Day two years ago, and there wasn't enough left to bother with bubble, so I did T-Bone steaks with all the trimmings. I've never been allowed to forget it, and am reminded at intervals through the year, with December being particularly fraught till I'm ready to murder her
