What handset to replace a Sony Ericsson K810i?
I currently own a Sony Ericsson K810i handset. I love the phone and everything about the phone (except the size of it) BUT I am finding the battery runs down very quickly especially after using the camera + flash. I know I shouldn't be expecting the battery to last forever on one charge, but I'm finding that after I use the camera, the battery is down to one bar and then needs charging.
Now for the hard part. If I am to replace this handset, I will have approx £90-100 to buy a t mobile handset. It needs to support A2DP (bluetooth stereo headsets, and remote control functions) not too bothered about camera quality (as in the SE K810i - 2MP would probably be fine) I have already had in the past 2 years Samsung E770 Nokia 6230i Nokia 5300 Samsung E250 Nokia 6300 Sony Ericsson K810i I have had a look at the Samsung U600 - I like the look of it, but everywhere I went to (2 different CPW and a T Mobile) kept saying 'oh, you'll want to keep hold of your K810i as its the best phone out there at the moment'. Noone would get one out of the back for me to look at to find out whether the U600 or the K810i would be best for my needs. Any other suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. |

If I was to swap my k810i , it would probably be for the nokia n82 , which is pretty much a candybar n95 but with a proper flash . I have an n95 which to be frank is just too chunky to use as an everyday phone but the n82 appears to fit my needs , though can't justify upgrading just yet

I forgot to mention in my original post that I have approx £100 - £120 to purchase a new handset.

I have been looking at handsets and have come to the conclusion that I will need to increase my budget to get something decent. I have been looking at sim free smartphones, in particular
Samsung i320 £120 Samsung i600 £200 HP iPAQ 514. £149 All three are in the mid £150 range - which is best? All 3 run on Windows Mobile for Smartphone 5, with the i600 having a free update to Windows Mobile for Smartphone 6 - but this si the most expensive at £200. It has built in wifi, full qwerty keyboard and large screen. The i320 is essentially the same as the i600 however it doesnt have the wifi built in, and doesnt have the free upgrade to WMfS6. The HP has the wifi, WMfS5 but the screen is a lot smaller than the Samsungs, and the quality of the screen is a little poorer (176x220 2inch 64k colour TFT, compared to 320x240 2.3inch 64k TFT on the i600 and the i320) I am not concerned with the quality of the camera (albeit there are i.3 mg camera on the back) |
