Certificate Signing for S60

Hi

Can anyone explain to me if there is an easy way to get apps signed for my N95.

I have found this software, but you need to be a developer to use it.

I want to install RotateMe on my N95 (and would also like to try a couple of other apps like flipsilent and shakelock)

If anyone has any advice/links I would be grateful

Thanks

Yes you do have to be a developer to use this program as they now block other regular users from signing your own applications, its for our own protection against viruses apparently!!! I want the rotateMe program too but just have to wait for the signed version!

No it's not possible, you need the cert file to sign.

there are lots of forums where you can get it signed. I also think that if you donate to the bloke than he'll sign it for you.

I found this app on mobile9.com

http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/408249/

Installed and clicked "Self Sign" but still did not work. You need the key file and the certificate file)

NOBODY CAN SIGN A FILE FOR YOU ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU NEED THE CERTIFICATE FILE AS ALREADY POSTED!

Keep telling yourselves it can be done if it makes you feel better but stop telling others it can!

Actually, if you look on Mobile9 there is a detailed breakdown of how to get the certificates yourself.
It does however mean registering as a developer (even though you arent). A few people have tried it and it works, yet some have tried and it doesnt.

Am at work at the moment so cant try it for myself......

It is a bit of an annoyance though, that there are so many good apps out there that just cannot be used at the moment.

You have to pay to register as a developer.
