All Going Badly Wrong

For the last couple of months, my Humax was working well with Series Link. Over the last couple of weeks I have had many instances of very bad behaviour.

Basically, I have been losing recordings. At first it appeared that the recording was not happening, but then I noticed that there were now multiple entries for previously recorded programs. If you played one of these multiple instances, you found a program that you thought had not been recorded!

If you deleted one of these multiple recordings, it deleted all instances of the recording!

I have tried resetting to defaults and rescheduling my Series Link items. This worked well for a couple of days, but has now gone bad again.

I have now turned off all Series Link and am back to time scheduled recordings, but the first recording it came across (scheduled for 10:35) started with a message like "Scheduled Recording Started 13:10 to 15:35" which was the wrong time, and happened to correspond to one of the entries in my Recorded List.

I had such high hopes, but it's looking like this will be going back.

Sounds a bit like the disk corruption that I had with 0.21 I "solved" it with a reformat. I haven't downgraded to 0.20 and it hasn't happened again so I don't (yet?) plan to.

That's what Humax support said. I need to Archive a couple of things before I do this.

My concern is that this will be a regular occurence.

I've had exactly the same problem since the upgrade. Seems to happen with series recordings. I end up with multiple identical entries in the recorded list usually with the details of a previously recorded program (which seems to have been 'lost') All the entries 'point' to the same recording and if I delete one entry they all disappear. Really bad news.

I never had any problems before the upgrade. Is a reformat the only solution, and will it recur?

yes it will occur again
i've had to format 3 times in just over 2 years. it usually happens if you regularly get close to filling your hard disc.
there is no other option!

My reformat under .21 was required despite the disk being 40% full at the time and we've never gone over 60% full.
