From 1st Feb, the £7.50 'unlimited' web bolt on is supposed to have become properly unlimited and not 200Mb. Subject to usage restrictions, they'd be annoyed if you hooked up to bittorrent.

Why would you need more than 256Mb of data on a phone? (Excluding the iPhone here).

256Mb is ample for me.

It would be difficult on O2 to download more than 200Mb at GPRS speeds.

Orange has HSDPA, it isn't available as widespread as we'd like at the moment but it's their live and I receive a signal in Newcastle where I am based.
Orange seam to trail everything in the Newcastle area - they seam to have a broken most of the time Edge implementation up that way too.

didnt realise o2 had changed the data prices, I havent used 02 for about 2 and half years and one of the reasons i left the payg service was the poor data add-ons and lack of full internet usage.

With lots of data usage 3g is an essential and surely 02 must realise this, mind you orange and 02 have been to slow to pick up on the data side of things.

Its funny I remember a couple of years ago saying that if the networks got their finger out and started offering broadband speeds on the move they would make a lot of money it seems vodafone, tmobile and 3 have noticed this and raking in the benefits.

to o2's credit its still the best value payg offering if you only ewant to text and call
