I have a combination microwave/grill/convection. It takes 25 minutes to cook a chicken with crispy skin. Only 15 minutes for baked potatoes with crispy skin.
Leeks, Brocolli, Cauli etc. Slice and put in a pyrex dish with a tablespoon of water. Cover with cling film pierce so it does not balloon. Microwave on full for five minutes approx.

I have one of the combi microwaves but have only ever used it for ordinary microwaving. I must find my instruction booklet and have another look

I find mine great for steak and kidney puddings and those treacle puddings out of tins.
45 mins in the oven or 2 mins in the microwave?, no contest
