My 9200 locked up last night for the first time ever. It was on More4 19:00 to 20:00 and an advert had just started. I'm on .15 (I tried .21 but preferred the bugs of 15 to the ones of 21. Until AR works properly it can stay on 15). Has anyone else experienced it?

I had 2 lock ups on the same night - I was manually recording Zammo and Roland's Skool Daze on The Hits on Saturday night, flicking through the channels and it locked up twice.

Unfortunately, I cant remember which channels I was on when it locked up...

I'm on v.21.

If you use the search button there has been countless threads about lock-ups on both v15 and v21 and you may find answers and infomation about your individual lock-ups and problems

Had occasional lockups in .15 but haven't had any in .21 - although mine is going back for repair as one of the tuners has died.

Why not upgrade to .21 and the turn off AR?

Whilst I concur with the above, one thing worthy of note (and I think it has been mentioned already)

If your unit has apparently locked up (not due to the offending smoking advert)......

DO NOT immediately power cycle the unit....give it a few minutes to see if it functions again, or try the standby button on the front.

Is the rational for this to avoid triggering the HDD/Recordings List corruption ?

Mine did this, I did a reformat and it sorted it all out. Not one problem since. My thread is here, maybe worth a read (post 7)

The rational is that some times the 9200 has been observed to start working normally again.
