Hands up those who have had disappearing SR timers after a powercycle?
Not me and we'll soon know. I've discovered that removing the power down timer setting means that the Hummy comes up in standby mode so I've put it back on its daily socket timer. If power cycling is the cause of these issues I'm going to find out

I switched off at the back to try to get rid of the annoying "active standby", which seems to have kicked in recently. It didn't work!
Maybe there's a link here. Do you use the "auto-power-on" or "auto-off" features by any chance?

No, it's turned on and off manually. It's put into standby last thing at night and switched on early evening. Most programmes are recorded whilst the box is switched on, with an occasional programme being recorded from standby.

SWMBO complained a couple of days back that I had deleted either the results or the original competition of one of those dancy things - definitely on ITV. She further complained that not only had I deleted the recorded programme before she'd watched it, but had also removed the reservation from the SR schedule. I checked and, sure enough, neither recording nor schedule were present - altho the other 'half' of the show (ie either original dancing or results - sorry I cannae remember which! ) was still showing.

So I went forward six days on the programme guide and added the missing prog back into reservations. Checked and, yes, there it was reinstated on the schedule OK, but, wondrous to relate, the missing recorded programme from the day before now reappeared on the recorded progs list and, yes, played perfectly OK.

FWIW I have at some time recently unplugged Humax from wall to fiddle around with cables, so son_t's 'power off' condition might apply.

I've done a "reset to defaults" today and rescheduled my various series linked programmes. Now to wait and see whether scheduled items continue to disappear.
