Recording problem with E55

Our set up is as follows:

DVD "AV1" SCART --> TV
DVD "AV2" SCART --> Freeview box "TV" SCART

We also have a selector box to switch from Freeview to VCR if I want to copy a tape to DVD.

The problem is with recording with the DVDR both with and without the timer.

This is what I have worked out:

Quote:
“DVDR set to record, say, Channel 3 or AV2.
TV on Channel 1 analogue.
When DVDR switches on the TV changes to the programme chosen for the recording.
I then physically change back to Channel 1 to carry on watching the programme.
When the recording finishes and the DVDR switches off, the TV goes back to Channel 1, after briefly going off.
The same applies to what ever channel we are watching.”

Before our Sky digibox went wrong we were able to set a recording and it wouldn't interrupt the programme we were watching.

Is there any way round this problem?

Thanks - I read that message before I came on here. I will see what I can do. You can probably imagine that it is very annoying.
