Failing to find USB drivers on Vista
Has anybody managed to get the USB drivers working for e-Linker 2.5 on Vista64? I have tried running the install with and without admin to no avail. When Windows fails to find a driver I have tried pointing it directly to windows\inf but it still does not find it. Any ideas?

Rob. I have had a few driver problems, my last problem was a driver for a TomTom sat nav. broused to system32 folder & problem solved. this was after vista had tried searching my h/drive & on line without success. |

I don't think that will help because as far as I know it is searching for the humax.inf and not the drivers themselves. I believe there is a problem in the *.inf file. For starters when I install or uninstall, the drivers are being copied into the SysWOW64 directory and not system32 where the install log states. When Windows searches for the driver I have pointed it to where the *.inf file is but for whatever reason it does not recognise it.
Thanks anyway. Rob. |
