Phones4U (anyone work there?) - W890i on Orange
I'm asking on behalf of a friend, but when will the W890i be available in Phones4U? They've just bought another handset and thinks they might prefer this one so might exchange.
Thanks very much |

Agreed. And I didn't think the W890i was out yet. It's due early March direct.

Well, the damage has been done and she has already bought from P4U, I was just after information on when it might be out in P4U on Orange. Thanks though.

As far as I am aware, it is out on Mon 3rd March. I certainly will be calling Orange for a rententions deal on Monday.

Thanks LitePurple. I wonder if it appears in P4U at the same time?

I work for phones4u.
We are getting the w890i on Orange soon, 1st week in March. Already have them on Voda. Your friend would probably have to disconnect her existing contract and reconnect to get that phone. Did she deal with head office or a store? |

I am sure she dealt with a store. The phone is a couple of days old so I think she should be able to swap so long as she takes it back within 14 days. Thanks

I think the 14 day thing was scrapped last year?

By Orange I think, not by P4U. She was told in the shop she could swap within 14 days if she wasn't happy with the handset. Hopefully because Orange have stopped it doesn't mean that she was given misinformation although judging by what people are saying about P4U it wouldn't surprise me!

Phones4u operate a 14 day return policy on every network with the exception of 3.
The only time she could not return her oranage contract is if she ported her number from Orange Pay As You Talk. Also, if she has ported in any other number, there is a high possibility that she will lose it if she returns/exchanges. This is at Orange's discretion. So, in answer to all you doubters, p4u have not misadvised

I think she did move her number from PAYG but I'm not 100% sure. Best thing would be for her to go into the store next week I guess and have a chat. Thanks again

No probs, that PAYT rule only applies if it was Orange PAYT.
Any other network PAYT and she can cancel but possibly lose her number |

Cool, thanks for the help. Not sure what network she was on before, might have been Orange tho. She might be able to exchange on eBay or something though I guess? Will leave it up to her

Thanks Lawe13. My friend has said her phone has grown on her, she has never had a slide before and she quite likes it now. Problem is the slide is a bit wobbly but I doubt anyone (SE, P4U) will do anything as it is annoying (like a wobbly table would be at a restaurant) so I think she is going to put up with it.

After this, it will be sent for repair, the worst part of p4u!!! |
