RI:SE POLL - today

Cam 32%
Nush 68%

Would Nush poll better if RI:SE didn't have an anti-Cameron agenda?

The problem with Rise is they want Cam out but spent the morning bad-mouth Nush and very little Cameron bashing.... that isnt going to help get Cam out. Please people get him out if you dont want the final week to be boring bible reading and lectures.

I was watching R:se this morning, but didn't notice anyone badmouthing Nush. What exactly was said & who said it??

Kate likes Nush, but Iain Lee has been constantly slagging off the Nushy for the past few weeks (and Lee, being the freak that he is, fancies the Chipmunk).

Fact is, if Nush is evicted, I ain't watching next week. It will become the most boring show in the history of TV.
1. No sexual tension.
2. No fun

Conveniently for Ray, the 3 bores will be his competition if Nush is evicted.
If Nush is evicted, Cam will very likely win BB4

Steph, who like some old Victorian lady, is quite happy to do the cooking and housework and let the men compete for the Prize.

Nush has many faults, but at least she has a competitive spirit. Whereas Steph is some sort of Pre-Feminist throwback.

Steph has conspired to prevent any woman from winning BB4.

Oh come on all of you conspiracy theorists - you are slacking! Why have Endemol put a plant into in the house to slag off Cam in the certain knowledge that this would rally the forces of Cam to surge to victory. When Cam survives this week he should give Jon a nice big kiss of thanks...

Either way we will all get to see Tickle look seriously pissed off...

I think it was more th ex HMs. They all wanted Nush to go this week. The only exception is Lisa, who seems to have now watched some of the footage from her 2 weeks.

Nush has relied exclusively on her looks in an attempt to avoide nomination, whereas Steph has relied on her intelligence and personality. If anybody is a pre-femenist throwback it is Nush.

Steph is as honest as a Pentagon Feminist (and boy are they in deep sh**, desperately hiding like the scummy cowards they are.)

Steph is a Mother figure; surely the most male-ego serving thing a woman can do is to "mother" a man (with all of the creepy psychology that comes with it).

She cooks and cleans for the men like a champion doormat.

Well it sure looks like Nush is going...

I would have rather seen Steph going or extremely unlikely Cameron, but there you go...

On a positive note for the anti-cameron out there if Steph had been going instead of Nush all her final week vote would have probably gone to Cameron. Making him ever safer to win the whole thing

With Nush going, well I am not sure but I would imagine some of her "fans" will go for Scott or Ray...

But what do I know!!

I dont really want any of them to win anyway!

Cameron's got no-one thinking he's fit, so there's no teen girl vote there who might turn hystreically on Nush.

Cameron's fans are probabaly laid back, a few votes for Nush being the best they'll do individually.

I find Nush a bit drippy, but not enough to want to seriously oust her over him. I don't see her making people angry, whilst Cameron can bore you or annoy. (Multi-faceted!)

Those points are fairly obvious, and would lean more strongly towards Cameron scoring the most eviction votes.

Add to that the Jon army loathing him overall, and Cameron is history.

I don't think they were - they were correctly relaying the vote percentages for 2 forums. Both, arguably, attract more anti-Cameron sentiment than others. The question is which of the various polls (e.g. AOL, Freeserve, DSBB, MSN) is the most representive of voters sentiment and intention?

All the bookies have Nush has a hot fav. to go this Friday. Cameron is now favourite to win according to BetFair with equal odds to Scott at BlueSquare. My guess is that when Nush does leave this Friday, Cameron's chances of winning will further improve because the slight doubt in many about his survival this week will be gone.

The bookies were wrong about Jon staying, but that was a 3 horse race. This 2 horse race looks like there is only 1 horse running!

No, just quoting polls, have provided the links where appropriate.
So why would I be clutching at straws.

I would say your little survey among your mates at work, of which there is no viable proof, was more clutching of straws.

Why are you getting worried for your Cameron now.

I would say its the older people supporting Cameron, voting because he's "Christian" and he's "sweet".

Its that sort of voting that is making the show boring.

People are voting with their hearts, and voting out people they don't like, rather than voting tactically.

I think the total votes on DS poll is something like 400. That is what I mean by clutching at straws.
My work survey is of people who dont spend hours on BB forums, a truer cross section of viewers. I get the feeling the vote will be about 65/35 in Cam's favour. Whatever though, he'll stay.

Could it be that your work-mates, knowing you are a Cameron fan, couldn't say what they really felt to your face?

I'm not a Cameron fan. Think he's a fake. But he's playing a blinder of a game, favourite to win now. Go Cam. Cam to win.

I'm not sure he has played a blinder of a game. Yes, unlike Scott, he has at least shown some personality - Scott ruined his initial favourite position by being so guarded.

On the other hand, he has had a lot of luck to assist him in his quest. He has bitched more than I would think sensible for the game but has been lucky enough for most of that not to be broadcast on C4. He has admiited at times to having done more complaining in the diary room, of which we've seen even less, so that was a sensible decision on his part.

He was also lucky enough to get the trip to the South African big brother house and two free week's from nomination. Now, you could say this had the potential to be a double edged sword and he played it well but that raised his profile to the point where he became a serious contender.

In fact, this move to favourite isn't a new thing - he's been topping the AOL poll since about that week. I am somewhat concerned that the house swap winner has got such a boost to their chances. I suppose it could be argued it's the other's fault for doing so little that this is still memorable but extra programmes effectively dedicated to you seems a little too much to me. Some are now arguing that Jon's boosting Cameron's chances even more - that point I'd disagree with, I don't think people will decide based on another house-mate but it adds to previous events.

Basically, this year, more than any other, it seems the winner has been pre-ordained by C4/Endemol from all the gimmicks they've used. From some oddly selective editing (as every year) through a swap which gave extra programmes to only one person and two weeks free nominations, to a very late extra housemate who'd be so hated we'd applaud them bitching against her. This also guaranteed another week's eviction.

I'm not going to argue Cameron was always destined for South Africa but I would argue who could hope to defeat whoever was sent if they did well there, giving them effectively three weeks off nominations (thanks to Lisa's arrival) and such a higher profile?

What I can't get my head around is why they want Cameron to win? With his christian, teatotal, prudish image, how does he fit into the T4/E4/C4 demographic - surely they would want to hype Nush, Scott (Zzz..) or the "ezz fit" Ray? Cameron would fit more the older generation in the mind of the marketting folk. Maybe C4 have got him in mind for when Richard Whitely retires?

If C4/E4 had a christian religious orientated output, then I would buy this conspiracy.

No, I think how things have panned out are more cock-up than conspiracy.
