Strange Orange contract question
Adam D
01-03-2008
Well, A friend of mine is on Orange paymonthly. She wanted to add someone else to the contract, Ie, new phone and paypermonth etc..
This was fine.

The phone came (last month now) but the Sim card would not activate, She rang them up and was told the sim was the wrong one and belonged to someone else!

They told her they would send a new simcard out and shoiuld come on Monday (the day was thursday)

It didnt come, She waited another week and still nothing, She rang orange, and they have nothing on the account saying that another contract was added or the phone was sent to them. She also checked her online account and its not listed there.

Its been a couple of weeks now and nothing back about it, (she is using a payasyougo sim that she was using beforehand)

Im not sure what will happen!

Well if there's nothing on orange's systems, she's gained a new free phone!

Tell her to try again and get her to make orange send her things in writing - take down people's names etc.

Who did she call to add the additional handset? All new connections are dealt with by Sales (0800 079 8000 Option 1).

They should have some record on one of their systems regarding this, a phone cannot be sent out and be completely untraceable.
