DMR-EX95 VEBS odd behaviour!!

Its not my day today (if you've read the previous post!!) I also have this unit in our lounge and regularly download from our Sagem Freeview/harddisk unit, so that I can dub disks etc. The Sagem has twin tuners, so in theory I can record 3 programmes at once with the two units! I tried downloading a program today, and although it appears to be on the EX95 when looking through 'direct view' there is no image. It tells me the programme is 'x' minutes etc. which is right, but just a blank screen instead of a thumbnail pic. Advice will be gratefully received.

Two things that spring to mind, recording from scart/av1 not 2 or one of the scart lead ends becoming dislodged, this has to be by only a fraction of an inch to break the contact so best to remove and replace.

I agree with dmp.

An angled scart is the most likely culprit.

Come back if not.

Thanks for those replies. Have spent, on and off, the whole day trying to sort this out without success and now I can't get normal sound through Panasonic, so something else must be dislodged!!! Have to try again tomorrow.

Probably the same scart... It carries the sound also.

Bingo! Knackered scart connection. Replaced with a new lead and hey presto, all OK now. Many thanks for help and advice received. Now I have to try and sort out the other unit '85' which I suspect is a much bigger job.
