Recordings list not displaying old or new recordings

I just got home tonight and turned on my Hummy. The recordings list (accessed by the button under the flap) has lost all but three of my recordings. I've got a few things set up on series link which should record everyday, but nothing was showing as recorded since the 27th Feb. My machine came with v20 and updated to v21 at the first update. I did a hard reboot (switching off at the back) and then a software reset, but the programs still didn't reappear. HDD control showed 28gb in use so they are still there and I was just about to format the drive, when I noticed a couple of strange things:

In the recordings list (button under the flap) there are no longer the little squares next to the names of the programs (that are filled with a tick when you select them) and secondly all the programs (including the ones that should have recorded since the 27th are still shown in the recorded programs screen (menu->recorded programs) - and they all play fine.

How do I get the quick-list to start seeing these programs and get the little squares back? I made a test recording and it didn't appear in the quick-list either.

OK problem gone - a 2 minute hard reset still didn't seem to cure it, but after 10 mins of being back on the quick-list suddenly refound all the programs.

Panic over.

It happened again, but this time I was able to carry out some tests and I can now reproduce this error (and recover from it).

While you're watching a recording go into the recordings list (vis the button under the flap) and select some programs with the green button. Press exit and finish watching the recording. If you let this recording finish (I fell asleep so this happened) and then turn off the machine without either deleting the recordings you selected or deselecting them, the next time the Hummy is powered on the recordings list (again via the button under the flap) only shows a couple of recent recordings (and not even the most recent). To get back your other recordings you have to go to the recordings list through the main menu and start watching one - this will repopulate the other recordings list.

Pretty stringent conditions - if you select the recordings while watching live tv the fault doesn't happen and if you don't let the recording you are watching finish the fault doesn't happen.

When you power back on, what is displayed when you use the playlist button (under flap) is the programmes you previously selected with the green button....note it states 'Selected Files' at the top of the displayed list.

Use the left arrow, and the full playlist titled 'Video' will appear.

I'll have a look when I get home.

Yep - that's what it was. Still weird though
