Seriously?!!! I love Greg as much (more!) than the next person, but come on.

Zaraah was awesome.

i agreed with Nicky based on the skate off performance, and his was a moving performance

All true. But really?! Maybe he was just hoping for Greg to make the final so he could get rid of Jason!

I agree with Nick. Judged solely on the skate off Greg should have been saved.

The major item was props and Zaraah made two awful mistakes with hers

You could have something there

Two? I only saw her drop the hoop. She was probably relaxed because he knew she'd be saved!

The hoop was thrown too far away from her, you could see her lean over to get it but it was too far. Glad Fred saved it.

I actually agree with Nicky. If he'd been judging on the first performance it would have been wrong, but Zaraah made a couple of mistakes in the skate-off whereas Greg upped his performance.

The whole point of the skate off is to skate your best and be judged on that performance and I think Greg did better then...

It's going to be so boring without him.

I am with Nicky on this, based on the skate off Greg gave a better preformance. Zaraah made errors and wasn't as smooth as first time round

Well done Nicky for doing your job

If you had to judge it purely on the performance in the skate- off I think Nicki had a point. Greg and Christina were relaxed and smooth and everything worked and he even skated nicely too. Zaraah was great in the first show but things just didnt' quite work so well in the skate-off and it did affect the performance, though she picked it up well after a bad start.

Probably the right result overall though as Zaarah has usually been pretty good but I'll miss Greg's entertainment value.

I agree with you. I thought Greg's performance was slow and dull.

I think rather that she's not good under pressure and that explains the mistakes. In the skate off she reverted to half performed tricks, errors and messy lifts and it all looked disjointed. I wouldn't have given it more than 23 the first time around and the dance off version wasn't much better than his 20 the first time around. His second version was better and flowed and was acted better so I can see why Nicky might end up giving a higher mark.

If they hadn't been desperate to get rid of Greg and if it was not so late in the series I think someone might have thought whats the point if she may go to pieces in the final and if the public are not voting for her.

I thought Greg played a blinder in the skate off - I didn't see a single error in his skate off routine - whereas zaraah missed the hoop and messed up her hula hooping as well.

Hoop schmoop.

Zaraah was better at ice skating in both performances. End. Of.

Well, that's that sorted, let's just close this thread!

Nicky's been consistent in valuing skating.

Zaraah may have given the better performance, but Greg's was still pretty good and he is the more capable skater.

(I though he made better use of his props too.)

I agree...Greg did play a real blinder - his skate-off was error free and better than Zaraah...if they are supposed to be judged on that performance & that alone, Greg should have stayed. He was very gracious in defeat though & recognised that she'd been better than him through the whole competition.

I will miss Greg loads - he's been a top bloke & has entertained me...shame he couldn't just have made the semis...

Interesting point about the skating skills. I was watching Zaarah's routine and it looked to me she was holding her partner or the cane for most of the routine which made the routine easier for her. To her credit first time around it was well presented.

She rarely skates on her own and when she does she is not convincing and not in the same league as Chris, Gareth and Suzanne and I would agree even Greg is a better skater than her.

Zaraah was saved because she has been more consistent throughout the show.

Greg is pretty dire and should have gone weeks ago now.

Except the last couple of weeks where shes been awful from a skating pov (and last week also a performance pov also) or the weeks before where she had almost zero solo skating and was just being pushed and pulled along or thrown around.

In the main show as Robin said the props seemed to take her mind off the skating and she was pretty steady, but in the skate off she went back to her old self. If they were judging on the skate off alone she should have been sent home but then the judges seem to generally like her and ignore all her errors just like last week when they didnt kick her out for not trying the required element. And the problem is she doesn't even bring much to the show as for a dancer and actor she just puts in a generally dull performance on camera. Would have been nice to have had Gregs entertainment factor for for 1 more week before the final shoot off between the 3 skater that are head and shoulders above everyone and have been since day 1

zaraah isnt dull she is a great skater and her performances 9 times out of 10 r elegant and beautiful she deserves to b there more than greg, sorry if people disagree but she is way better than him! AND i fink nicky has indeed lost his marbles.

I though Zaraah's performance in the main show was fantastic, but very poor in the skate off. I wanted her to go this week because i'll miss Greg, he was fantastic tonight too, he was actually good
