Nicky knew that Zarahh would be saved, he was just showing a bit of heart in saving Greg.

Unfortunately not everyone agrees with you

Zaraah was very poor in the skate offs and cannot skate alone, she is great whilst she is hanging on to a something/one but cannot manage to skate alone for more than a few seconds without fumbling

Probably the right result overall though as Zaarah has usually been pretty good but I'll miss Greg's entertainment value.”

I wonder what might have happened if Greg had been given some acting lessons, like the guy from Blue Peter - Gethin - was during Strictly Come Dancing. Gethin was transformed by it!

(And Greg's main problem is that he's relatively wooden as a performer.)

Greg had his best week for me, finally showed some proper improvement so I agreed with Nicky, to me zaarah has stayed at same level.

She'll go next week anyway, they should have let Greg entertain us for one more week.

Its the same with pretty much every women who's been in this show over the seasons, only a couple have had any real ability to skate on their own well and consistently and most of the men who go out on skating alone should have stayed in longer than the women who beat them.

Its a problem with the show's format imho. By seemingly having no rules on what should be in a performance and limits to how many and how long you can do certain things you end up seeing the women often ignoring the core skating elements to focus on mastering as many lifts as possible. As its the men who are the core element in the lifts the men have to get the skating part down before they can even start the lifts because otherwise the risk to their partner is too high. Lifts have their place in a routine on the show but I think with a bit more structure to what a performance can and cant have in it we would see a largely more entertaining and fair competition (I mean after all the beauty of t&d's performance at the start isnt OTT lifts) and all the skaters would atleast be competent solo skaters

coming from someone who can't spell and is difficult to read. Greg was very good tonight and Zaraah did make more mistakes and isn't good on her own - can't wait to see him on This Morning tomorrow.

If Greg had stayed, he would have gone next week anyway...

I've had more than enough of Greg's "goofy" performances, and would rather have one of Zaraah's next week, thank you.

I actually found both Zaraah and Greg's routines really good tonight.

I think it was quite a difficult choice, although Zaraah consistently scores a lot higher than Greg, I felt that her Skate-off performance wasn't as good as Greg's. i think that was Greg's best performance from the whole show, it was very emotional and him and kristina put a lot of work into it. Also i do think that Greg is a stronger Skater than Zaraah, but she usually gives a stronger performance and to be fair it probably was Greg time to go tonight.

Even though they chose Greg to go this week I think Zaraah will go next week because she just isn't gettin enough votes from the public.

It was difficult tonight - i think Zaraah will go next week as well - she doesn't have the support from the viewers and unless she is amazing next week - won't be saved by the judges again.

When she is in a lift then 9/10 she is very elegant in them as you'd expect from someone with Dance qualifications, but when shes on the ice, especially when not in hold then 9/10 shes unsteady and ungainly.

And the dullness isn't really anything to do with the routine, she just doesn't emote herself on the ice which you would expect would be her key strength. She just doesn't come across like shes having fun (Similar to Samantha Mumba) and just lacks that 'x factor' that should make the performance pop

At least it will be a skate off where we won't be able to guess who the judges will pick. So far they've all been quite predictable. Maybe Zaraah will have a particularly good week and be up against Gareth or Suzanne.

It would be unusual to see Robin Cousins actually have an effect on the outcome.

I don't understand why so many people have a problem with Zaraah staying over Greg. She's a better performer in general and has consistently scored higher. I think she's really likeable, and very entertaining.

Of course people have their own preferences, and that's fine. I'm just surprised so many people are miffed about Greg going out when the other four celebs are better at "dancing on ice".

I think now we know who has been keeping him in all these weeks

He's as entertaining as a plank of wood and we have lost better skaters earlier on because of him. To lose Zaraah over Greg would have been a travesty.

I agree with you I really don't understand why Zaarah does not have a fan base. She came into the competition late, she is likeable and very entertaining and is doing a splendid job

I think, like you say, the only chance she has next week is if she's amazing. But I don't think there's any way she'll stay in over Chris or Suzanne anyway.

The only chance she's got is if, she's up against Gareth and she has a particularly good week and he has a bad one.

I actually agree with Nicky. If he'd been judging on the first performance it would have been wrong, but Zaraah made mistakes in the skate-off where as Greg upped his performance.

I think they saved the right person, but I'm really glad someone voted to save Greg because he has been great TV. He so loveable! I wouldn't agree at all that he is a better skater than Zara, or even if he is he is certainly not a better ice dancer. He is quite clumsy on the ice, although to give him his due he wasn't tonight. This was without a doubt his best performance, smoothly and properly executed, a joy to watch. But it would have been a travesty to save him over Zara I think.

It's because a lot of people vote for Greg because he's *funny/entertaining/goofy/cute (* delete as applicable).

It doesn't come down to the best ice dancers, as you say, which is why getting the public to vote is often a mistake. See also other "reality/talent/Eurovision" shows.

Judges deciding who's in the skate-off would be better and then open the phone lines. That doesn't make as good TV I suppose (and certainly wouldn't finance it very well).
