I'm not sure that it was just being nice as he knew his vote wouldn't matter. He mentioned that Gregs routine moved him and I dont know if it was just me but he seemed to be close to crying if not actually crying

I have never hidden the fact that I've been voting for Greg (& Gareth) - I've loved watching him & whilst I agree, he's not the best dancer, his enthusiasm and improvements have been great to watch. It would be a very dull world if we all liked the same people & if everything was predictable.

I'VE BEEN VOTING FOR GREG - LOUD & PROUD

The Term "X Factor" isnt something Simon Cowell thought up as a good name for a program. It refers to that special undefinable element that makes someone stand out over your rivals. Its what see's actors, singers, dancers ect ect that aren't the greatest rise to the top of their profession where as those with more skill may find they never make it past community theater, club performer ect ect

Well in the case I think zaraah does have the x factor, she's got a great personality! and she can perform! i think she does stand out..if u watch her in her vts u will know what i mean.

Based purely on the skate-off I think Nicky was right.

However in the great scheme of things it didn't make any difference anyway. Zaraah will go next week so the 3 who have been miles aheaad all series will be in the final.

A shame it isn't more exciting this year but the skating is a better standard than last year.

I think she comes across as whingy and moody in the VTs with the occasional laugh

I did go off her a bit when I saw her sucking her thumb in the VT when she was upset last week. To be fair, she will always get my vote anyway since I'm completely in love with Mr. Fred.

Didn't Greg and Cristina miss a move where she was on the floor, with her leg out on the ice, holding onto the bottom of the broom? They kind of started it but pulled out before they did the whole thing? Surely that was a mistake!

The vt's don't matter, its about showing that personalty on the ice and she doesn't. She gets on the ice on a sunday and she just seems like she doesn't really want to be there, where as you had Gareth and Suzanne who tonight probably really didn't want to be there but were able to flick a switch and go into professional mode. I know its probably really nerve racking doing it but her career really isn't going to go anywhere if she cant either let her real personalty shine out or if she lacks that kind of personality fake one convincingly

Quite right. In the original routine, Kristina slid along close to the floor, with Greg holding the broom in place. In the skate-off, she only slid for about a second before standing up again. Perhaps not as obvious as the hoop mistake in Zaraah's routine, but a mistake nonetheless.

I think she messed up on it a bit, it was still done but was slightly shorter. I don't know what the judges guidelines are on judging (or going on last week and the week of Nickys low mark of Suzanne if there even is any guidelines) but id assume that mistakes that are the pro's fault and aren't caused or effect the celeb are ignored somewhat

I thought Gareth's was the worst performance this week but I seem to be the only one who noticed his fumbling with the hat

Greg goes for it and is a bundle of laughs, at times Zaraah is better than Suzanne. Both Zaraah and Greg are more entertaining than Gareth and it is an entertainment show, so for me Gareth should have gone

I actually would have liked Greg to stay another week. Ok Greg is not the best Ice skater/dancer in the competition, but he is far more interesting to watch. Zaraah is dull, boring and makes me feel nervous when I am watching her. Greg makes me smile and I have enjoyed every single performance of his in the last 3 weeks, I cannot say the same about Zaraah.

In the skate off I thought Greg was the best he has been and much better than Zaraah.

I agree with you, but I would like to see Gareth is the final 3. This week he wasn't great. I have only ever had a migrane once in my life and there is no way I would have wanted to go on stage (as such), perform and especially under those bright lights.

I think Zaraah should be in the final 3, Gareth is a bit boring, yeah he's not a bad skater but Zaraah is alot better than him IMHO.
Absolutely

I find Gareth lots better in the skating and I love his performances, but we all have our own opinions.

Let's sum it up.
1. Greg was better in the skate off but was not better overall.

2. The skate offs exist purely to let the judges over rule the "common plebs" and is a waste of time.

3. Zaraaaah will be out next week with much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

4. Chris will win it as long as he doesn't get too carried away with himself

I agree - I think he genuinely preferred Greg's routine, as did I, in the Skate off - it was very emotional and I think Nicky did seem to be upset.

Greg didn't make any mistakes in the skate off but even with that taken into consideration Zaraah's routine was vastly superior. Greg even freely admitted that on This Morning when interviewed by Fern & Phil

Of course it was Greg was never going to win against a dance teacher and a professional male skater. Zarraah always looks elegant on the ice although for me her skate off performance was a little boring.

Greg's skate off was his best skate yet, the perfect swan song for a great competitor. Personally I think that if it had been solely based on the skate off Greg should have won.

If you break down the routines and take out the lifts Zaraah does very little on her own. She was stood still with the hoop and there is very little complicated footwork if any.

But on presentation she's going to win everytime. She's a slight beautiful young woman with years of dance experience. Against Greg who is tall gangly and not very good at dancing.

Greg can be proud of himself tonight. For the very first time I used the word beautiful to describe his performance.

aww i thought it was sad, when Greg said to Phil, i've had a great time.... before they had even heard who the judges were going to save...abit like Linda last week...its not nice when one of the skaters know they are going before the judges have had their say

It was obvious Greg was going to get voted out in the skate-off, but Nicky's vote didn't make a difference anyway.

Zaraah's performance was rather tentative and dull, but they were never going to get rid of her in favour of Greg.

I agreed with Nicky and posters on here who said Greg was better. Zaraah's nerves seemed to get the better of her, I think Greg should have stayed.
