I find it hard to understand how anyone can make snap judgements of people they see on TV on a show such as this and then translate it into looking 'cold' or 'dead behind the eyes' or a 'cold and hard person'.
It's not like any of us know these people personally and unless we do, and they have treated us badly then it really is completely unfair to speak ill of someone in this way.
Whilst we do have freedom of speech in this country (more or less!

), it does behove us all to treat that freedom responsibly. I find all these cheap shots against the celebs (because that's what they are unless anyone can actually prove what they are saying and give a good reason for their statement - other than that they 'have the right to say what they want' - which I will come to in a bit) - rather more telling about those who make them than the celeb, to be honest.
It's a sad day when we feel the constant need to criticise someone's demeanour, personality, etc etc with no evidence of any of our words just 'because we can'. That doesn't make it right. It doesn't make us better people - actually, it makes us worse people than those whom we are decrying (for whatever reason - preconceptions, misconceptions, sheer pettiness ??? Who knows?).
Why on earth can't we just enjoy the show and stop taking pot shots at the celebs (whom we don't know personally, who have never done any harm to us personally and who are simply trying to learn a new skill, try their best and - yes, market their image a bit!)? The sheer volume of anti threads has been quite alarming. And for those who will say 'you don't have to read them', no I don't. Unfortunately, people are taking pot shots at the celebs even in the most innocuous of threads which actually didn't start out as an 'anti' one! So they're a little difficult to avoid!
For what it's worth, I think Suzanne seems lovely but more than that, I enjoy her skating. I loved Clare last year (she was my favourite although I did love Kyran too). I think Gareth is brilliant and always looks like he's having fun and Chris is amazing (although I would criticise the choreographers - T&D? Karen? Whoever takes care of that aspect - for allowing him to freeskate so often. This is supposed to be a skating show with
couples! But that's
not Chris's fault!). I like Zarah too - she's come a long way in a short time.
I take no notice of the VTs. They're deliberately skewed the way they are by ITV to encourage people to watch and vote. As is the 'injury' thing. The celebs have little or no say in how they come across in what is essentially a 1 minute film shot over 7 days! How that can be representative of someone or how standing waiting for your scores etc can be representative of someone or how someone can interpret from a smile that someone is 'false' , I have no idea.
But than, perhaps it's more to do with issues some posters have than with the celebs themselves?
