It's wrong to make personality judgements off these few minutes and a lot of people are doing this. Unfortunately, FMF (if I may call you that?

), this is something that forums like this seem to thrive on. Even 'appreciation' threads are not sacrosanct. There are always one or two who will go in and post something uncomplimentary or downright rude about a celebrity (or actor/actorss/etc). Who knows the reasons why? I certainly can't fathom why we have to get so personal about people we don't know, have never met and who we apparently judge on the basis of a few moments on a TV show! If people made judgements like that about me, I'd (a ) be very upset and annoyed because it's not reflective of who you are as a person (we are all of us multi-faceted, despite those who try to maintain otherwise!

), and (b) I'd wonder what their problem was that they had to project such a negative image onto me! If they knew me personally (and had done for some time) and made judgements, then that would be entirely different, of course!
I do realise that we can't all like the same people (the world would be very boring if we did!

), but there are ways of expressing that opinion that don't sound like personal attacks for no good reason (and I have yet to see a '
good reason' for these attacks - for instance, blaming Suzanne for Darren Day being who he was?? - presumably he has changed since! That's definitely a new one on me!!)
Personally I have never felt the need to either start a thread about someone of whom I'm not a fan (for whatever nebulous reason), nor participate in an existing one merely to take cheap shots at them. I believe it would reflect very badly on me as a person and if I have issues with someone I don't know, have never met and am never likely to meet then those are obviously
my issues, not theirs.
(Which makes me sound very superior and yet I'm not trying to be! Honest! I just find it really sad

that the internet has allowed us to hide behind pseudonyms and make the sort of unkind and uncalled for remarks that are so prevalent on forums such as these.
However, if you think things are bad in here you should visit the Showbiz and General discussion sections!!! They're truly scary!

(And other forums are even worse!
