Morning all,
I've searched the forums but no joy so apologies is this is a repeated question. I've got the above Samsung TV set up to my Sky HD box via HDMI, Standard DVD player via Scart and Nintendo Wii via wires.. However, Should I be able to view freeview via this tv. I was sure it was capable but when i press DTV it says not available. can anyone please advise regards Ian |

I take it you have connected a standard TV aerial to the television via the RF input?
.........And its still pinting in the correct direction ![]() My Samsung 32 Lcd with built in freeview did the same thing on friday night . I looked on Saturday to find the Aerial facing the wrong way due to the high winds A quick realignment and nipped up the mounting and back to 95% signal strength |

Hi,
thanks for the replies I have it connected to an ariel that is capable of receiving digital tv. (we used to have ON digital years ago) I believe I followed the set up instructions as per the book. I haven't ever had freeview and haven't lost the analogue signal so can only assume aerial is ok |

You have done a rescan or initial install scan for channels , its not just a case of plug n view |

With the TV in standby press the following buttons in order
Info Menu Mute Power Select item 2 (Option Table Service) Set Ready to OFF (when set to on DTV is disabled) I found this messing around. power TV off and back on. You could try a reset (item 12) instead. This will reset the TV back to factory settings. Use the Menu button, arrow buttons and enter button to navigate. Dont mess with anything else. Let us know the result. regards |
