How many people have posted a complaint about Tiscali

Just want a simple yes to all those who have posted a complaint about the tiscali/HC service.

someone on here thinks its no more than 10 people. i think its more like 1000.

would have liked to do this as a poll but the forum doesnt have it listed as an option.

I I have posted complaints on here about Tiscali/ Homechoice, but I will say all my complaints have been about Tiscali. There have been thousands of gripes about the service since Tiscali took over last March, and in honesty I left Tiscali because of their constant incompetence. I think the worse was when they got the Sky Channels and then fanfared the fact they had them, but even though they were showing on everones boxes we didn't actually receive all of them for 3 weeks because of a technical glitch, add on to that the amount of times the tv service broke down a couple of times for a weekend. There service is shoddy, and they will lose customers to Sky and Virgin. I don't know how people can defend Tiscali as seriously Video Networks had a great service til they sold out to them!!

I have posted complaints, and yes more than one. I wont go into detail, but its about move and transfers, and billing. Seperate complaints.

And the billing complaints have only started since Tiscali. Homechoice bill was spot on EVERYTIME.

Not a single month in 7 months without me having to constantly complain. Nearly all about never billing me correctly, but the last one was about no tv service for over a week and the fact two people at customer service told me they no longer send out engineers except 9-5 Monday to Friday. As I was at work they cancelled my whole subscription (TV,BB,Tel) and I am now having fun getting away from Tiscali, but I forsee it not being that simple. I suspect more complaints to follow. Sorry bit longer than a 'yes' but it just seems to flow when I start complaining about them.

i joined tiscali in november the broadband been great , but i have had trouble with the tv just now its freezing a lot
shame really as i like tiscali tv and all the vod stuff

Yes tiscali are a shambles. If you want to see a thousand complaints go to the tv section of www.tiscali.co.uk/forums/

We are talking about Tiscali TV, and there isn't even 150 threads in that forum so how there can be 1000 people with technical issues?

no one mentioned TV . we are talking about Tiscali service as a whole, Tv, phone , internet, customer service and the overall complete lack of qulity since HC took over

So prey do tell where the correct place is to discuss problems, issues and so on about the tiscali service as a whole.

This thread was set up to say if you have posted problems regarding tiscali as a whole not for people to complain about the original post.

If you havent complained then no need to post.

Thats because they removed the forum for HC/Tiscali Broadband because it had so many complaints.

If you actually look at the tiscali section the forum covers ALL aspects of tiscali.

No one is saying that, and I am sure people will have problems with Sky or Virgin also, but what this person is saying is that Tiscali seem to be taking incompetance to a whole new level. You onlt have to look at the complaints on Tiscali TV to see that since taking over in March 07 they seem to have a disregard for the great service that customers received from Homechoice. Not only that but there are complaints about the broadband on here and also on the Tiscali forums on Tiscali's site itself. Remember, Tiscali only have around 700,000 customers and Virgin have around a few million, Sky much more. So in relation the amount of complaints look far worse than say Sky or Virgin.

I have to say that I've noticed a deterioration in customer service since Tiscali took over.

I've had a few nightmares trying to get things sorted out over the last year.

in fact, one of their phone guys started shouting at me because I was getting impatient with his incompetence.

Where do you get the figure of 700,000 from? The number of Tiscali customers is closer to 1.9 million! Even before the purchase of Pipex, Tiscali had 1.2 million customers.

I am talking Tiscali TV, not their broadband service customers. In their last annual report they said there were around 700,000 Tiscali TV customers as an estimate.

So, it would seem total number of people who have complained about Tiscali TV is 9, which is less than 10 and nowhere near a 1000.

Peter you are being presumptuous. Just because only 10 people on here have complained that doesn't give you any idea of how many complaints Tiscali have had about their service. There are definately more people than that which I would believe have complained about the service. This is a forum with a couple of hundred people on it, no one will ever know the true figure as companies don't ever release those sort of figures.

Sorry, thought you were talking Tiscali UK as a whole. The last figures that I saw for Tiscali TV are much less than you state though. In October 2007, Tiscali announced only 36,000 TV subscribers at that time.

I am being presumptuous?? I didn't claim that that thousands of people were complaining about Tiscali TV

The reason this question was asked was that several people have posted on this forum that Tiscali TV is now a 'shambles', a disaster etc and that it somehow applied to all HC/Tiscali TV customers.

The truth is a small number of customers have issues and thats to be expected. However, a dozen people (out of between 36,000 and 200,000 Tiscali TV customers) repeatedly complaining is not a reason to leave Tiscali TV .

BTW, please remember this is a Tiscali TV/ex-Homechoice forum who are on a completely different network and service package. How many of the posters here were referring to complaints about Tiscali and not Tiscali TV?

I am not saying that Tiscali are a great ISP, they are obviously not. I am simply not willing to switch to another provider unless there is a real reason to, i.e. something that affects me.

Sorry, you seem to be lost. This the Tiscali TV forum NOT Tiscali as an ISP. Try posting in the Broadband forums http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/f...splay.php?f=77 or another forum. Its your responsibility post in the correct forum, not ours to tell you.

No offence but this WAS a general thread, and not only that I think it is rather rude that someone should 'run the rule' over people posting their complaints about the broadband service on here. The title of the thread is a genralisation on the service, as was the initial post. It just seems that because you have had no problems with your Tiscali service that no one else should have a voice. That may not be how it appears to you, but that's how it appears to me!!

Forums have topics, subjects and rules. This forum is for Tiscali TV For discussion of the Tiscali TV service previously known as Homechoice.

But then who are you to say that, you don't have mod status!!! You are a forum member like everyone else. It was a general question, and personally (as a mod of a couple of forums) yes there are rules in place but this one doesn't contravene anything. It isn't in the wrong place, and it is asking people if they have had problems with the Tiscali/ Homechoice service. Considering Tiscali/ Homechoice are one and the same, and even though Homechoice was primarily an IPTV service with internet provided AND all queries were posted in this cable forum about Internet and TV service before I don't see why it should change because someone with a bee in their bonnet about this should be so concerned. If you don't like it then don't post. It is down to the mods Peter to sort that and not you, or are you some sort of Tiscali TV Vigilante/ employee??
