These used to be a fantastic collection of chocolates, now reduced to a few humble truffles.

Is this a focus-group initiative? If so, where did they conduct it. Obviously a place where everyone has weak teeth.

Time to storm Westminster and demand the old-style Black Magic selection box is re-instated!!

I agree with you - they used to be fab - now they're all the same

they're all square shaped with a groove cut at various places on the top and they all taste the same, don't care what truffley nonsense each one is called - they're all the same

All chocolate boxes these days are infested with these hideous, tasteless, truffley crud.

I used to love Black Magic, Milk Tray and Dairy Box - now they're all cloned truffles with a ghastly texture and no taste whatsoever - whatever the flavour's supposed to be.

Best chocs ever (IMO) were 'Weekend' chocolates and candies, they were yummy and have now disappeared forever.

I bought Milk Tray at Christmas, they were awful.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice.

Belgium chocolates are the best these days for variety and quality - what a shame you have to go to Belgium to get them!

I don't really like Hotel Chocolat, it compares very poorly to the Belgium chocolate houses such as Neuhaus - http://www.neuhaus-chocolates.com/index.asp

Fruit gums and pastilles are rubbish now too.

I used to love the boxes of fruit gums in all the fruity shapes as a kid.

Now they're much softer and all taste the same. Dire.

You are right they do all taste the same. Had a box at Christmas, what a disappointment definitely wont be buying them again.

Blimey, that just took me right back! IIRC there used to be a bright green candy one.

I say we should demand the removal of truffley things - they're not nearly as flavoursome or textural as choccies were in 'the good old days'!

Hi folks
I'm a newcomer to the Digital Spy forum and wanted to join in on the Nestle Black Magic discussion......
This is a perfect example of a company (Nestle) thinking they can do no wrong and that the buying public will follow them wherever they lead, no questions asked. Well here's a BIG question: WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU CHANGE / RUIN A BOX OF CHOCOLATES THAT IS A TOP-SELLING, UNDISPUTED BRITISH CLASSIC? I felt so strongly about it that I started a petition (see below). Please join, in the hope of making Nestle see sense! http://www.petition.co.uk/bring_back...gic_chocolates

I don't remember them. Who made them?

I don't like truffles either.

Hi, I would do, but I don't feel inclined to add my personal details for all to see. Sorry.
why does it say the petition doesn't exist when you click on signatures?

Hi Scots!
I clicked on the link and then clicked on 'view signatures' and everything seems to be working fine
Plus Banana managed without problems too it seems...please try again & please sign the petition...you don't have to use your real name and you can just put in n/a for your address...others have. It's the act of joining forces that count. Do I have to beg?
