They're not. It's two routines. They said that clearly at the end of the show.

Of course! That is why I said "And why not".

That is why we are fans. We vote because we like the person and have done so since the beginning. I expect you do too.

I think Suzanne and Zaraah will be in the skate off this week. I think Gareth is getting a lot of puplic votes so will scrape through and the girls will be left behind.

So two routines per couple

I do. Although I'm only voting a couple times each week

Your post read that mainly Gareth's fans will be `voting like mad' to keep him in, but I suspect fans of Chris will be doing exactly the same.

There is the possibility that people will be voting for Gareth, because they genuinely think he deserves to have their votes, just as the others do. He has shown a lot of improvement over the weeks

It is the semi's.

I think they've gone with two solo skates rather then a group skate and a solo skate which is what they did last year.

Suzanne isnt my favourite but ill be VERY suprised if shes in the bottom 2.”

Claire was a better skater than Duncan, and Alesha was a better dancer than Gethin, which is how they managed to succeed.

I think Suzanne is a better skater than Gareth, but whether she's in the bottom two will depend on whether her ankle's healed a bit, and whether a load of people suddenly think 'oh well, Suzanne's bound to be fine, better give Gareth my vote to make sure he goes through over Zaraah.'

We don't know who has the most public support - obviously Suzanne had more than Zaraah last week - otherwise she would have been in the skate off. It's possible that both Chris and Gareth also had less than Suzanne, but their positions on the leaderboard kept them safe - we just won't know until it is entirely down to the public vote.

I agree with this ... also a lot of my friends only vote in the semi final and final so you will have new voters joining in so the voting will change totally methinks

It is anybodies game
Absolutely

Of course any of the contestants left have their fans, but the general public will vote according to who they loved best on the night.
So I also think its not possible to really say who will go and who will stay next week.

Mind saying that I think Chris is probably safe.

I'd love it to be Chris and Suzanne but it'll probably be Gareth and Zarrah.

Suzanne and Zaraah- Can see the female voters supporting and saving Chris and Gareth

If its true that they have to do a solo performance for 20 seconds, then it depends on who falls maybe??

I was hoping that this week Chris would be given the opportunity to silence his critics (me included) by showing that he can create a partnership with Frankie - but if it goes on skating solo they might just as well give him a bye into the next round.

Seems he's likely to make the final without ever exposing his perceived weakness.

Cry me a River and Aint no Sunshine has already shown that he can, least in my eyes anyway. I thought they were both beautiful performances and I want to see more like that.

I agree with a lot of your posts MrFox - but not this one I'm afraid - I think both Matt/Suzanne and Gareth/Maria have much closer partnerships.

I'm not saying Chris/Frankie can't do it - just that I haven't seen it yet. Greg, despite his shortcomings, managed to create a very touching intimacy with Kristina using the table and broom, so Chris and Frankie could have emulated them - instead we were treated to more of Chris's solo skating; and good as it is I would have liked to have seen more of a 'performance.' That extra dimension is still missing for me.

No I'd agree with that fact that Suzanne/Matt and Gareth/Maria have closer partnerships but what I'm saying is that I think its a little unfair to say Chris has none. I think he did plenty of good partner work in those two performances in particular but it definitely can be improved on to help him get those sixes.

Remember this week is 20 seconds of solo skating so there is plenty of time in the two routines to show good partner work. I'm really look forward to the semi's to see how Chris, Suzanne and Gareth do.

Only 20 seconds solo, so he can still silence his critics with the rest of his routein

Fair enough - if he does that I'll give credit where it's due
