Move It Expo - this weekend
gritty
03-03-2008
Anybody going to the Move It expo at Olympia? I'm helping out a friend on one of the trade-stands - Jump & Jive.

She's closing up her shop in April and selling off her stock, so she's hoping I'll be too busy for long chats - but I'd love to say a quick hello to any DS members.

Gritty would have loved to go but am on my own and so probably will not.
Hubby and friends and family are not into that kind of thing and so dont want to go, they mostly think I am mad for dancing.
Hope you have a good day, or two?, and sell everything.

I went on my own last year and had an absolute blast. It's a brilliant day out.

I may very well pop in Gritty as I live only about 20 minutes away. I'll make sure to stop and say hello if I do.

I can't because I am competing in Blackpool in a big uni comp but perhaps next year.

Hi gritty!

lovely to see you yesterday at the Exhibition! really nice to say hello and put a face to the name!

We DID drop in again later at the end of the day as we were about to leave, but you had gone for "lunch".

I went up to your friend and said "is Gritty here still?" and she kind of looked at me in an odd way and I suddenly realised with embarrassment that she might not have known you were called Gritty LOL! so then hurriedly said "no I mean ********** (your name - don't know if you wanted to make it public on here so have done it like this!) and she then realised who we were talking about and told us you'd gone!

we DID try and find you a gin and tonic but couldn't see one anywhere!

we had a lovely day - could see you had a busy one!

Lots of love

TQ x

Mrs JJ and Daughter No. 1(dancing nut) went, and really enjoyed it. PACKED, though. Too crowded to be able to get much out of many of the classes, according to them, but a really good day - and the classes are only £3 each.

Tey plan to go again next year

Many of the studios were much bigger than last year, and if the teachers stayed on the little stage at the front, it was tricky to see at times. Although most were good at making sure people moved around the space.

I didn't personally think it was as good as last year, but the people there who did workshops were however good.

But the stage/viewing issue in workshops really somehow needs to be sorted!
